Household Moving (2 Yrs Household Moving Exp Rqd) to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating any of the following commercial vehicles depending on licensing: single axle or tandem straight truck, or a tractor trailer. The Skilled Van Operator is responsible for providing a high service standard by managing crews and customer expectations throughout the moving process. Work is mostly performed locally within Current Brunswick, however, you may be required to travel outside the province from time to time.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a commercial vehicle with airbrakes
Load and unload household goods
Properly track and document electronic activity log
Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
Manage crews on jobsite and throughout moving process
Manage customer relationship throughout entire job
Be a point of contact for the customer throughout the entirety of a moving cycle
Inspect truck before and after trip
Complete Bills of lading, inventory listings, work orders, etc.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in commercial driving or other related fields
Ability to handle physical workload
Robust work ethic
Drivers license classifications desired: Class 1, Class 3, or Air Brake Endorsement
Previous experience in the moving industry an asset.
