Position Details

Hours: Friday day shifts, with the potential for hours of operation to vary according to production demands.\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
\n
\n
1. Provide leadership and supervisory role to the production team during hours of production.\n
\n
2. Develop and maintain operational knowledge of all equipment used in production.\n
\n
\na. Set up, operate, trouble shoot, perform basic preventive maintenance activity, dismantle and clean/sanitize equipment as required.\n\n
1. Perform production responsibilities as required to successfully manufacture products according to specification and demand. In addition to operating equipment, this may include weighing, measuring, handling, sorting, packing, general warehousing and facility tasks.\n
\n
2. Develop and maintain knowledge of the ASI product line, become proficient at interpreting and completing product specifications, batch sheets, production records and entering same into the ASI accounting system as required to reconcile production at the end of shift.\n
\n
3. Develop and maintain knowledge of the ASI Food Safety/Quality Assurance system, it’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), requirements and record keeping responsibilities. Be a key example to the production crew by upholding and enforcing said requirements.\n
\n
4. Develop and maintain knowledge of sanitation chemistry, procedures and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) established for the facility. Perform sanitation activities at shift end, breaks and otherwise as required before, during and after shift.\n
\n
5. Participate in warehousing activities – receiving, shipping, inventory rotation/reconciliation – as required.\n
\n
\nKEY SKILLS\n· Excellent verbal communication skills in English (French also an asset)\n
· Excellent time management, ability to work under pressure of production timelines and schedule.
