Our Development

Engineering team is looking to hire an experienced Product Development Engineer. The successful candidate will lead the technical development of packaging products working with business development, completing engineering, and subsequent launch into our manufacturing operations.
\n
Role Description System level design with limited guidance, frequently in the absence of specific design standards.
\n
Product Architect
\n
Participate in the formulation and/or evaluation of business cases.
\n
Work within a team of Engineers/Design Specialists in the development of new Injection Molding tooling products following appropriate steps within a formal product development process.
\n
Guide and approve the content of design documents and validation plans.
\n
Contribute to, verify and monitor engineering documentation.
\n
Apply scientific/engineering principles design execution.
\n
Sizing and selection of components (for example, but not limited to linear motors, sensors, bearings, gearboxes, belts, seals, servo motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components etc.) as well as material selection and application of design standards.
\n
Provide leadership, mentoring and training to team members.
\n
Create system level concept designs in various levels of detail including function block diagrams, CAD layouts, functional decomposition.
\n
Lead and contribute to design reviews and brainstorming sessions. Responsible for decision making in the context of product definition and architecture.
\n
Participate in or lead continuous improvement activities.
\n
Verify all concept and systems level process steps of the product development process and Product Release process are followed.
\n
Drives the product development process levering team collaboration.
\n
Design risk mitigation including participation or facilitation of FMEA.
\n
Champion of product compliance with regulatory requirements.
\n
Cross discipline interaction and communication including cross discipline inputs – Business Development, Analysis, Electrical, Software, Fluid Power, Metallurgy, Manufacturing, Validation/Test.

Represent Husky technically in front of customers, suppliers and technical partners.

Represent the Innovation and Sustainability department in front of internal customers including the
