Cool Aid Community Health Centre is seeking a full or part time Primary Care Physician. The physician provides client centered primary health care services to individuals and communities who face structural barriers to accessing health services and who experience a wide range of acute and chronic health challenges. The physician will use a harm reduction approach while collaborating with clients living in poverty, with chronic mental illness and/or substance use issues. The successful applicant must have an understanding of the principles of culturally competent and trauma informed care.

clinic and outreach care to over 7,000 patients in Greater Victoria. The medical team has expertise in Hepatitis C, PrEP to prevent HIV, opioid agonist therapy, and support groups for chronic conditions such as pain management and Hep C. Our doctors and nurses are world leaders in Hep C and HIV research.

The patient panel for a full time (1680 hours per year) physician within a CHC providing primary and addictions care, is 650 patients. Patients are rostered to the CHC, and the physicians are named as MRPs (Most Responsible Providers).
