Required Qualifications:
Completion of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Current, provisional or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacist.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Advanced Prescribing Authority (APA) is required. Successful candidates not having APA will be expected to obtain it within 6 months of commencing this position, dependent on eligibility. Recent Pharmacy related experience in a hospital setting or in direct patient care providing comprehensive medication management services in a collaborative care model. Recent experience as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team. Experience with Connect Care/Epic computerized medication order entry, verification, and different drug distribution systems such as unit dose.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hospital/direct patient care experience within 5 years. Rural hospital experience an asset. Project/committee participation, supervisory & staff training an asset. Authorized to administer injections. Demonstrates critical thinking to solve problems, uses evidence
