Personal care worker in a private home for a quadriplegic Male.
Responsibilities:
Provide personal care such as bathing, Catheter care, Ostomy Care, grooming, and dressing
Assist with mobility/Range of Motion exercises
Assist with all activities of daily living
Administer medications
Prepare and serve meals
Perform housekeeping tasks, laundry, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning.
Drive client to appointments and run errands as needed in clients own vehicle.
must be OK with animals a golden doodle and a cat.
Experience:
Prior experience in providing Personal care, especially to persons with spinal cord injury is very helpful. On the job training will be provided.
Knowledge of patient care techniques and practices
Ability to handle some lifting and repositioning when necessary
Solid communication skills and empathy
Certification in caregiving or related field is a plus
valid drivers license required. Clean driving record.
