Experience: Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience; advanced proficiency with ADP Workforce Now
Expertise: Strong knowledge of employment standards across all Canadian provinces and experience managing unionized payroll
Languages: Bilingualism (French and English) is essential to support all our Canadian offices
Certification: PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation from the National Payroll Institute is a strong asset

Employment Type: paced setting, you will be responsible for the full payroll cycle, from data entry to ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Weekly Payroll Processing
Manage the full payroll cycle each week for all Canadian employees using ADP Workforce Now
Accurately enter and process employee changes, including:
Creating records for new hires
Updating employee changes (salary adjustments, promotions, transfers)
Managing terminations (final pay calculations and issuance of Records of Employment

Hours: ROE)
Manage time banks and absences, including paid leave, vacation, sick days, and other types of leave
Validate and process timesheets and hours worked
Payroll Data Transfer and Accounting Integration
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data transfers to accounting journals, in line with Finance deadlines
Produce, validate, and submit reports required for accounting allocations
Ensure compliance of exported data from ADP Workforce Now with the general ledger (GL) structure
Perform reconciliations between ADP, payroll reports, and the general ledger
Identify, analyze, and promptly resolve any payroll discrepancies or anomalies
Collaborate closely with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure smooth and reliable data integration
Participate in financial and payroll audits, including preparing supporting documentation
Maintain thorough documentation of data transfers and suggest continuous improvements
Compliance and Audit
Perform payroll reconciliations and prepare government and union remittances
Respond to employee payroll inquiries clearly and professionally
