This department maintains and operates our indoor and outdoor recreation facilities, organizes recreational programming, and plans community events. This team makes a vital contribution to our city’s quality of life!

What You’ll Do Reporting to the Head Custodian, the Part time Community Services Custodian serves the public by cleaning recreation facilities and grounds. Job responsibilities for this position change seasonally. In the summer, the role includes cleaning and restocking outdoor washrooms and cleaning outdoor recreation facilities.

In the winter, responsibilities are more focused on the Meridian Exhibition Centre and Centennial Arena including cleaning the facilities, restocking bathrooms, emptying garbage cans, and moving nets during hockey games.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

Hours: time hours, about 25 hours per week. Shift schedules will vary based on season. In the winter, shifts could be day or evening on weekdays or weekends. Evening shifts can go until 12:00am. In the summer, shifts will mostly be during the day.
