Hours: Job Title: Overhead Crane Operator
Job Description
This role is responsible for safely handling and moving steel materials using overhead cranes in a fast‑paced industrial setting. You will support production by operating cranes and related equipment, assisting with industrial painting and finishing, and maintaining a clean and protected work area. The position is physically demanding and primarily involves working afternoon and night shifts, with occasional day shifts.
Work Environment
The role is based in a steel distribution and manufacturing facility within a heavy industrial setting. You will work primarily afternoon (3:30 PM – 11:30 PM) and night shifts (11:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 7 hours paid for 8 hours), with occasional day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM). The environment involves working around overhead cranes, industrial machines for cleaning and coating steel, forklifts, and various hand and power tools, including grinders. The work is physically demanding and requires standing, walking, and handling steel materials throughout the shift. All personal protective equipment is provided, except for steel toe boots, which you must supply and wear as part of the dress code in this safety‑focused industrial environment.
