The Opportunity
Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a Metallurgy Technician at our Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. This position is a 5×2, Monday to Friday, day shift schedule.

Location
Copper Mountain Mine, located near the town of Princeton, British Columbia at the center of the scenic Similkameen Valley. Princeton is a community‑oriented town with a diverse offering of activities, especially for those who love the outdoors. Princeton is also in close proximity to both the city of Vancouver and the Okanagan.
Summary
As a Metallurgy Technician, reporting to the Senior Metallurgist, you will be an integral team member of the mill department providing laboratory support to the Metallurgy team, supervisors, and operators. You will supervise and perform routine metallurgical laboratory test work and other projects in the mill. You will support the Metallurgy team in optimizing plant performance through delivery of routine diagnostics and upkeep of the on‑stream analyzer while maintaining alignment with Hudbay values and behaviors. Our preferred candidate will have prior experience within metallurgical environments in the Mining sector.
