Job Summary
Supervises Medical Office Assistant (MOA) staff and participates in their recruitment, training, selection, and evaluation. Participates 75% of the time in the coordination of administrative and 25% clerical work in a medical office environment. Performs a variety of administrative duties and MOA duties. Contributes to the maintenance of quality medical services to clinic participants and makes recommendations for improvement as they arise.
Responsibilities
Clinic Oversight and Quality Assurance
Receives information on service/system enhancements identified by providers and establishes a plan for the MOA team to implement. Identifies areas to improve in all aspects of clinic operations, such as Health and Safety and patient management. Participates in Provider, Interior Health (IH), and OneSky planning meetings. Conducts weekly reconciliation of billings and bills third parties for clinic services. Ensures there are adequate supplies for the clinic.
Scheduling and Operations
Assigns work, provides direction to MOA staff and ensures that assigned tasks are completed. Ensures effective and appropriate MOA staff coverage and assists in the creation of schedules for MOA coverage. Manages the scheduling of Providers for Martin Street providers.
