About the Job
The Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) Laboratory is our largest and most specialized 24/7 lab and progressive teaching facility. The Lab consists of hundreds of team members who work collaboratively in a variety of disciplines such as Phlebotomy, Accession, Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, Histology and Molecular.
Medical Laboratory Assistants perform a variety of duties such as taking blood and specimen samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine lab tests, distributing specimens to departments and outside Labs, operating related equipment, entering data into the LIS and performing related clerical duties and ECG testing as required.
This is a Permanent Part Time (0.75) opportunity.
Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating days and evenings.
