The company is based in Laval (Canada) since 2002 and has offices in the United States, the Middle East, Asia and South America.Progesys is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to work in a mining project in Ontario.Main responsibilitiesManage projects related to rotating and piping equipment from application to completionPerform mechanical engineering activities in order to meet the scope of work and to ensure customer satisfactionCreate conceptual models / specifications / plans following meeting with the clientCoordinate efforts and complete projects in collaboration with other mechanical engineers and engineers from all disciplines that contribute to the project, architects and project managersWork closely with project teams and clients to define the scope of workPerform field observations and inspections, assist in the design, commissioning support and Quality Assurance / TestingProvide project engineering support to the project management team throughout the projectProvide accurate cost estimates and resource assessment throughout the project, including the process of bid evaluationRequired qualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent trainingMin.10 years' experience in a similar role on industrial projects (mining, oil & gas, infrastructure, etc.)Knowledge of mechanical equipment, under pressure systems, rotary, piping and tanks APIKnowledge of ASME, APIAbility to motivate teams and build positive relationships with various stakeholdersThoroughness, leadership, autonomy and sense of organizationAbility to work in a constantly changing environmentAbility to work on
