This role involves preparing and overseeing technical reports, supervising staff, and conducting analyses of material properties. Education Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) Experience 3 to less than 5 years of relevant experience Work Setting Work must be completed at the physical location. Work from home is not an option. Responsibilities Oversee the preparation of engineering technical reports or other documents Prepare engineering technical reports or other documents Supervise technologists, technicians, and other engineers and scientists Conduct studies on material properties and characteristics Read blueprints and drawings Conduct chemical and physical analytical studies, failure analyses, operational testing, and recommend materials and corrosion control measures Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems Supervision 1 to 2 people Credentials Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association Computer and Technology Knowledge MS Excel MS Outlook MS PowerPoint MS Word Area of Work Experience Specification or technical writing Area of Specialization Failure analysis Corrosion Additional Information Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle, valid driver's licence.
