Lighthall Vineyards is seeking one enthusiastic individual to work a farmers market stand in Wellington and Picton. The primary days worked will be Saturdays and Sundays from May to the end of October. Opportunities to work in our retail department through the week are available as well for those candidates wanting additional hours.
The ideal candidate is a friendly, motivated, and able to work independently. Previous experience and/or French speaking are huge assets!
Duties
· Pick up inventory and drop off inventory at winery as required
· Arrive to location on time and leave at agreed upon time
· Set up and tear down of tent, table, and accessories as part of the farm stand.
· Greet and engage with guests as they approach the stand
· Answer questions regarding the winery, the wines, cheeses, and general operations
· Process retail transactions on a remote terminal. Manage cash box
· Maintain accurate records of wine, cheese, and merch taken to farmer’s markets
· Communicate with retail manager on regular basis
· Required to carry up to 40lbs (wine boxes, tents, tables, etc)
Requirements
· Current Smart Serve Certification is mandatory
· Must have valid driver’s license and insurance
· Must have access to a vehicle large enough to accommodate 10x10 tent, marketing materials, and inventory
· No criminal record
· Ability to work in a fast

$20 paid out on a weekly basis. Pay is based on previous experience, education, and skills. Tips are pooled and paid out alongside regular and vacation pay among the market staff.

Position Details

Hours: paced setting
· Must be available to work weekends and holidays between the hours of 8am – 5pm
· Must be able to meet Lighthall Vineyards health and safety standards while on the job (using PPE when required, washing hands, etc)
· Must be able to adequately perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodations
· Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and legally able to handle alcohol (18+)
