Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent vision systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.Job Responsibilities$85,000/annuallyFully support the Operations group with respect to achieving their safety, quality and cost goals.Support Operations in all areas including molding, coating and assembly.Support all MPS initiatives, as required, including 5S, CAGYS and Kaizen events.Improve equipment and processes to achieve target production rates at a first pass yield rate of 100%.Work on reducing equipment downtime to improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE).Facilitate continuous improvement activities.As a member of the Current Production Program team, support and execute Customer Requirements, including but not limited to, engineering changes and quality initiatives from start of production through the entire life cycle of the product.Responsible for post

launch engineering changes to equipment and tooling.Responsible for maintaining open issue lists to track company and Customer requirements.Maintain and update PFMEAs and Control Plans, as required.Work on projects to reduce PFMEA RPNs.Make continuous equipment and process improvements through the life of the program, including scrap reduction, labor reduction, cycle time reduction and other cost reductions.Manage the engineering change process for required changes.Maintain timing and costs for all capital and tooling projects assigned.Prepare and submit capital requests.Create and maintain timing charts, budgets and open issue lists to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Ensure all equipment and tooling purchases meet company ergonomics, safety and design requirements.Support all Management initiatives and programs.Complete all projects and assigned tasks on time.Manage all required paperwork and complete it on time.Other duties, as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's Degree/Diploma in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering required.Engineering and Manufacturing experience in the Automotive and/or Automotive Supply Base sector (3 years minimum)Experience in Product Development environment an asset.Training in Problem Solving methods (Red X, Six Sigma, 8D, etc...) an asset.Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) methods and processes.Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Techniques.Valid Driver's license and ability to travel between plants required.Awareness, Unity, EmpowermentAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
