with the University brandLeading and directing the design and production of visual materials and media used for advertising, print, digital, social and web communicationsSpearheading the University of Guelph's brand, managing and maintaining guidelines for internal and external communications, and updates, creates and maintains the University's brand guideManaging the creative department and responsible for hiring and supervising internal, vendor‐of‐record and contractual staff (including, but not limited to, designers, illustrators, photographers, videographers and copywriters)Leading brainstorming sessions with staff to inspire and brainstorm fresh ideasConducting research to stay abreast of trends, software and toolsConducting audits and monitors for brand compliance across the University communityCreating mock‐ups, layouts and prototypes (i.E. taking a more active role in preparing materials)Other duties as assignedRequirementsUniversity degree in visual communications or photography, graphic design or a related field preferred.3‐5 years of related experience or a combination of experience and experience will be evaluated.Excellent working knowledge of relevant software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and the Adobe Creative Suite, AI design softwareHands‐on experience with creative process, concept development, marketing, graphic design, brand development, and social media platform knowledgeProject management skills with demonstrated leadership experienceSuperior written communication and interpersonal skillsStrong time management, organizational and analytical skillsCritical thinking, problem solving and decision‐making capabilitiesResiliency and ability to work in a rapid‐paced environment with ability to manage competing priorities and oversee multiple projects simultaneouslyTrained in video production management and photography campaign management, pre‐production and post‐productionEmployee Type: RegularPosition Number: 10390040Classification: P&M FT
