QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of Grade 12 plus experience in building maintenance, such as carpentry, painting, plumbing or electrical.
Journeyperson Certificate in a construction trade such as carpentry, electrical, or plumbing OR a Building System Technician certificate from an accredited Community College would be considered assets. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Must possess a valid class 5 NS driver’s license and have a valuable driving record: willing to obtain a class 4 within 6 months of employment.
Demonstrated communication and problem solving skills; as well as the ability to take direction, and make informed decisions in an emergency, as well as on a daily basis.
The ability and desire to relate courteously and effectively with residents, contractors, and staff
Knowledge of WHMIS and safe storage of chemicals
