Summary*
\nWe are seeking a Maintenance Person to join our team at Golden Bear Children’s Centre in Canada. This vital role ensures the safety, functionality, and upkeep of our childcare facility, allowing us to provide a safe and welcoming workplace for children and staff alike.\n
Responsibilities*
\n
General Maintenance
\n
Perform routine repairs (lighting, doors, furniture, etc.).
Inspect and maintain playground equipment and all facilities.
Handle minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
\n
Facility Upkeep
\n
Ensure outdoor areas are maintained (mowing, trimming, etc.).
Manage waste and recycling (garbage dump runs when needed).
\n
Safety Compliance
\n
Conduct safety inspections (playgrounds, building fixtures).
Address safety hazards per regulations.
\n
Communication
\n
Coordinate maintenance tasks with staff to minimize disruptions.
Report significant issues to the Centre Director.
\n
Inventory Management
\n
Track maintenance supplies and tools.
Order necessary items within budget with approval from the Centre Director.
\nSeasonal & Miscellaneous Tasks:\n
Assist with snow removal and outdoor seasonal tasks.
Support facility improvement projects.
Qualifications*
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Experience in maintenance or building management.
