The LPN will facilitate connections between Indigenous clients and service providers to enhance access to Island Health services with a culturally safe approach.Travel may be a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of Island Health in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceCurrent practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and two (2) years' recent, relevant nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge of Indigenous health approaches, protocol and cultural issues. Preference will be given to candidates who identify as Indigenous. Valid BC Driver's License.Skills And Abilities

As our team grows all team members may be expected to work a rotation which could include evenings and weekends. Travel to remote communities by boat, plane or logging road may be a requirement.
