Do you enjoy working outside and speaking with guests from all over the world? We are looking to recruit Lift Operations Lead Hands for the upcoming summer. Do you have at least one year of experience running chair lifts? You will support the Lift Operations Supervisors in daily operations and be stationed on one of our two lift‐accessed mountains providing guests access to bike park! Occasionally Heavy (H); outdoor in possible extreme heat; work activities involvehandling loads up to 35kg; predominantly in an outdoor setting.This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.The Perks And Benefits You'll Get To EnjoyWinter/Summer Season Lift, Trail and Golf passes (varies by position)Access to our Employee and Family Assistance ProgramDining discounts within our hotel & Resort‐owned outletsRetail discounts in our Resort‐owned outletsFriends and family rates at the Sun Peaks Grand HotelReciprocal programs with partnering ski areas & hotelsSkills You Bring With YouMinimum of one previous season as a Lift Operator at Sun Peaks Resort LLP.A team player with proven interpersonal, team supervisory skills and excellent guest service skills.Able to work outdoors in all weather extremes, physically fit and free from injuries, able to lift 40lbs for more than a few moments.Self‐motivated with a strong personal work ethic and a keen eye for detail.Proven ability to show up, be consistent, have a good attitude and act with integrity.Must have a valid BC class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupervise all work in accordance and adherence with established safety and inspection procedures, including line checks, obtaining loading clearances, daily log sheets, incident reports, shut down, and post‐operational procedures.Supervise the operation of the Vehicle Parking areas, RV park and RFID ticket validation.Give direction and coaching to staff and possess the ability to follow up when necessary.Oversee the proper and safe operation of the mountain ski and bike lifts.Ensure all SPRLLP policies are adhered to, particularly in regards to safety, EMS, and passenger ropeway Z‐98 regulations.Work with the Department Manager/Supervisor to ensure effective communication and support flow in all staff human resource requirements.Why join us?We are Canada's second‐largest ski area and a passionate team committed to providing the finest mountain resort experience to our guests.Our people are at the heart of what we do, making a difference to our guests and our workplace every single day.
