friendly tours take place in the Johnstone Strait and the Broughton Archipelago. Our goal is to provide guests with a spectacular wilderness vacation experience, while ensuring the safety of all and minimizing any negative environmental effects of our presence.

Maximum staffing levels are reached in the months of July and August when our team reaches approximately 35 people.

Period of Employment and Compensation
\n
Approximately June to the end of August with the opportunity to continue into September. Very market

Hours: 5 day basecamp sea kayaking tours with a maximum of 6 guests per guide. Tours with over 6 guests will have an AOG guide to assist\n
● Lead guests on 2 hr, 4 hr and 6 hr kayaking tours with a maximum of 6 clients per guide
\n
● Occasionally assist on longer expeditions
\n
Secondary Responsibilities
\n● Provide store front coverage, including customer assistance, taking payments, opening and closing, etc.\n
● Washing and organizing gear.
\n
● Assisting in preparation and cleanup of tours led by other guides.
\n
● Washing and inspecting kayaks and gear.
\n
● Assisting the maintenance and operations team with general tasks and camp runs.
\n
Qualifications
\nMost of our guests are tourists, not kayakers. They come to view wildlife in its natural environment and to enjoy nature. We are looking for an individual that can do more than just keep them upright in a kayak.\n
● SKGABC Level 2 certifi cate or equivalent
\n
● 40hr Wilderness First Aid preferred & CPR (80 Hours Preferred)
\n
● Restricted operators certifi cate for VHF
\n
● Food Safe Level 1
