The right person will be on the tools while also overseeing a small production team of 3–6 shop employees, each working in their own station. This role is ideal for someone who leads by example, takes ownership, and can handle both production work and shop floor issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
Build and assemble cabinetry to a high standard
Set up, run, and make adjustments to CNC equipment as needed
Operate and adjust the edgebander
Support cabinet assembly and general production flow
Oversee the daily work of 3–6 shop employees
Make sure each station stays productive and organized
Troubleshoot production, machine, material, and quality issues as they come up
Train and support workers to improve speed, consistency, and workmanship
Review drawings and ensure work is produced accurately
Monitor quality throughout production and correct issues before they become bigger problems
Coordinate with management regarding priorities, deadlines, and shop needs
Maintain a secure, clean, and productive work area
Qualifications
Strong cabinet making experience in a production shop
Ability to run and adjust CNC machinery
Experience operating and adjusting an edgebander
Robust cabinet assembly experience
Ability to read shop drawings and production paperwork
Proven ability to solve problems independently on the shop floor
Leadership ability and confidence overseeing other workers
Good communication and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and quality
Able to work efficiently while maintaining production standards
Ideal Candidate

Understands how to balance quality, speed, and workflow
