Johnny’s Jukebox Diner Kitchen Manager
Johnny’s Jukebox is re opening in a brand new location bigger and better than ever and we are looking for a Kitchen Manager to join the family! We are a small independent 50’s themed diner located in the heart of Chilliwack. Our menu centers around 50’s classics, modern trends and of course milkshakes!
Our kitchen manager will be someone who is friendly, detail oriented and high energy. We want someone who wants to grow with us and be part of our journey.
In this role you will report to the owners directly.
Duties include:
Executing menu quickly, safely and to owners expectations.
Following recipes accurately.
Assisting with creating new menu items or specials.
Working closely with FOH managers and staff to create a cohesive environment.
Leading kitchen team during busy shifts and operation solo during slower periods. Must be able to work alone efficiently.
Keeping a clean and sanitary work environment at ALL times.
Assisting with food cost and labour control including weekly or monthly inventory counts, waste management, scheduling and forecasting
Developing and maintaining par levels for all menu products
Assisting with training and development of other kitchen staff
Conducting thorough opening and closing checks of kitchen equipment, temp logs, etc.
A minimum of 5 years culinary experience is a must. Some leadership experience is needed.
Candidate must be able to handle fast paced shifts and is willing to work all hours including day, evening and weekends.
