Maclin Ford is looking for a full time Journeyperson General Technician to join our Team. The right individual will share a passion for providing a quality customer experience, and have the chance to grow in an setting of respect, trust, honesty and collaboration.
Basic Job Summary & Qualifications:
The Journeyperson Electrical/Driveability Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and replacing components on vehicles according to Ford’s specifications. The person we hire will be expected to perform complex diagnostics and repairs. Additional daily duties include estimating parts and labour costs, road testing and quality controlling after repairs will be required.
Required Specializations:
Gas engine repair
Electrical and electronic systems
Fuel and emission system
Brake system
Hybrid and EV powertrains
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED
Automotive Journeyman Red Seal considered an asset but will consider 4th year apprentices with relevant experience
Experience in customer service is an asset.
Ford STST specialties considered an asset but training can be provided for the right candidate
Experience diagnosing electrical concerns
EV experience considered an asset
