Job Description
\nMPI Oilfield is looking for Journeyman and 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technicians/Mechanics to join our Shop team! This is a role for someone who is independent, solution focused, able to work well with people and can ensure work is completed in a safe and timely manner.\n
Skills You Bring
\n· General knowledge of heavy trucks, trailers, excavators, other heavy equipment, and light fleet vehicles.\n
· Preventative maintenance: inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
\n
· Expertise in adjusting equipment and repairs or replacement of defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools.
\n
· Experience in completing CVIP Inspections.
\n
· Know

how to test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
\n
· Thorough knowledge in cleaning, lubrication and other routine maintenance work on equipment.
\n
· Strong compliance and adherence to safety standards and protocols.
\n
· Capable of working alone and as a part of a team, with minimal supervision.
\n
· Proficiency in keeping up to date with changes in technology and knowledge for the job.
\n
· Advanced electrical diagnostic skills and thorough knowledge of hydraulic systems an asset.
\n
Requirements:
\n· Journeyman Certificate (Red Seal if out of Province) 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice, depending on experience\n
· Own transportation to the Shop
\n
· Construction Safety Orientation
\n
· Clean Drug and Alcohol test
\n
