Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Arborist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and caring for trees, shrubs, and other landscape elements, ensuring safety and health of urban and rural green spaces. This role involves working with specialized equipment and applying horticultural expertise to promote sustainable landscape management. The Arborist will play a vital role in supporting our environmental stewardship and landscape maintenance objectives.
Responsibilities
Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal using secure climbing techniques and equipment.
Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift devices such as bucket operation to access high branches safely.
Implement rigging procedures for the safe dismantling of large or hazardous trees.
Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations to protect team members and the public.
Assist in the assessment of tree health and recommend appropriate treatment or removal strategies.
Maintain equipment, tools, and safety gear in excellent condition for daily use.
Act as an effective leader, promoting the safety and efficiency of the crew.
Be personable with others, including clients, coworkers, and management.
Experience
Prior experience in arboriculture, landscape maintenance, or horticulture is preferred.
Knowledge of rigging techniques for tree work is highly desirable.
Experience operating bucket trucks and aerial lifts such as bucket operation is a plus.
Strong understanding of horticultural principles related to tree health and soil management.
Ability to work at heights safely using appropriate safety procedures.
Valid certification or licensing related to arboriculture or tree care is preferred but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to sustainable landscape management while developing specialized skills in arboriculture and urban forestry.
