About the role We are seeking a results‑driven operations professional to support and optimize activities within the Pallet Storage Building. This role is accountable for improving material flow, reducing waste, strengthening process quality controls, and driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of end‑to‑end process optimization, experience working with contracts and the ability to identify synergies across operations to improve safety, cost, quality, and throughput. Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, and working from Monday to Friday Dayshift (37.5 hours a week), you will: Adhere to and promote Rio Tinto's Health, Safety, and Environmental standards while actively engaging in our culture of care, courage, and curiosity Identify and reduce waste and improve material and process flow through the Pallet Storage Building to support downstream operations using Lean manufacturing principles Develop, implement, and sustain process quality controls for stem repair activities; track key performance indicators related to waste, rework, flow efficiency, and quality, and drive corrective actions Lead process definition and improvement efforts using tools such as SIPOC, process mapping, value stream analysis, and standardized work, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, planning, and logistics teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives Identify operational synergies across teams and workflows to improve efficiency and eliminate duplication, and support contract administration related to logistics, transportation, and material handling activities (review, verify, and manage shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, ensuring accuracy and compliance) About you A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team A minimum education of a high school diploma or GED (post

secondary education or technical training is considered an asset, not a requirement) At minimum of a valid B.C. Class 7 (Novice) driver’s license or equivalent Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing systems and continuous improvement methodologies Demonstrated experience reducing waste and improving process flow in an industrial, warehousing, or operations environment Working knowledge of SIPOC, root cause analysis, problem solving techniques, and standard work Familiarity with contracts, logistics documentation, and Bills of Lading Solid analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to lead improvement initiatives and influence cross functional teams It will also be beneficial if you have: Lean or continuous improvement certification (Kaizen, Green Belt, operational excellence training, etc.) Experience in pallet storage, warehousing, logistics, or heavy industrial operations Background in process control, maintenance, or repair

$135,840 CAD in addition to allowances, bonus, equity, health or retirement benefits, and any other discretionary benefits offered at Rio Tinto.
