This course prepares students to adapt to current challenges and advance specialized support for diverse communities and family systems (formal and informal), ensuring that interventions are relevant and effective for a wide range of client needs. Students are exposed to current trends in the field of Special Education Techniques. They are expected to demonstrate the ability to think critically about what approaches, techniques and tools are better suited to specific clients and their needs. Emphasis is placed on developing innovative practices to provide culturally responsive support. Through the analysis of contemporary issues, engagement in diverse activities, and exposure to the unique concerns of various communities, students will develop the competencies required to design and implement targeted interventions.
Required Qualifications :
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline and 3 years teaching experience. Teaching experience in special education techniques or a related program such as counselling, social work, sociology or clinical psychology is an asset. Must be proficient in current trends in the field of Special Education Techniques.
