Responsibilities
Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Provide patient care tailored to individual needs, including hygiene and comfort measures
Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals and ensure proper documentation
Support meal preparation and feeding for clients with specific dietary requirements
Perform light housekeeping tasks related to patient care, including cleaning and maintaining a safe workplace
Monitor patients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to supervising healthcare staff
Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a caring environment
Assist with transfers and heavy lifting while adhering to safety protocols
Support patients with dementia or cognitive impairments through specialized care techniques
Skills
Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is preferred
Strong caregiving skills with a focus on senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities
Knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support
Excellent communication skills and compassionate nature
Ability to handle cleaning duties related to patient hygiene and environment maintenance
