Overview*
\nWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Aid to provide high quality support and care to an elderly couple. The caregiver will work two or three 24 hour shifts per week. It is an asleep overnight position.\n
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caregiving, with a focus on senior and dementia care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive and respectful care.

A driver's license is required.
\n
Duties*
Assist the individuals with personal care including showering, dressing and grooming.
Assist with transferring using a ceiling lift. Training is provided.
Provide medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
Support patients with meal preparation and eating as needed.
Driving the couple to church, appointments and shopping.
Provide light house keeping to maintain a secure and hygienic setting
Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to coordinator.
Document care in a daily journal.
Skills*
Knowledge of patient care procedures, medication administration, and safety protocols
Solid caregiving skills with an emphasis on senior care, dementia
Ability to perform transferring safely with the use of a ceiling lift. Training provided
Excellent communication skills in order to communicate effectively with the individuals, the family and the coordinator.
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
Ability to handle cleaning tasks responsibly to maintain a clean environment
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; reliability is essential
