Hours: 3pm, and the candidate for this job MUST be available on these days to be considered for the job. Hours may vary, however as a baker you will know that the job requires an early start. All staff are out and finished by 4 pm daily. We close every Tuesday following long weekends.
We offer benefits to you and your family after a probationary period of 3 months.
The job is a salaried position with a solid tipping pool in addition.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Head Baker will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the baking department, including the production of all baked items including but not limited to; artisan sourdough and traditional breads (pan loaves, boules, baguettes, flatbreads, focaccia, buns etc.), laminated doughs (puff pastry, croissant dough), as well as production of sweet and savory fillings etc. This person should also be comfortable managing the administrative elements of a bakery including food costing, menu writing, inventory management, cleaning duties and overseeing younger members of our crew.
