We are seeking a skilled part time Geriatrician to enhance care for elderly patients in Comox. Deliver clinical support through consultations while rotating in specialized geriatric services with a committed team.
As a vital team member, you'll collaborate with 15 Geriatricians across Vancouver Island. Candidates should hold FRCPC or Care of the Elderly qualifications. The role encompasses working with diverse patients, undertaking clinical teaching, and engaging with dedicated nurse practitioners throughout specialized services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver patient consultations for elderly care
• Rotate through outpatient and inpatient services
• Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
• Contribute to teaching medical students and residents
• Engage in patient care and quality evaluations
Requirements:
• Must possess FRCPC or Care of the Elderly credentials
• Experience in geriatrics is advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a team
