The Opportunity
ETL is looking for a motivated Lube Technician with proven experience to join our team. The Lube Technician works under the direction of the Mobile Maintenance & Site Services Supervisor and any assigned Supervisors and works with other employees within the company to ensure safe work practices and policies, compliances and regulations are adhered.
The Lube Technician will perform and document the fueling and greasing of site heavy equipment, inspection of the heavy equipment, maintain regular scheduled services and minor repairs. This position also requires the Lube Technician to complete pre/post inspections on all tools and equipment and follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations. Other responsibilities involve physical labour at the Work Site.
The Lube Technician will work closely with facility staff to create a positive and safe working environment, be a resource to management and facility staff for health and safety information and promote health and safety programs in the workplace.
Requirements
· Minimum Education: High School or equivalent.
· Minimum 3 years Lube Technician experience or in a similar role.
· Licence: Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation.
Core Job Duties
· Employee required to complete pre/post inspections on all tools and equipment.
· Responsible for fueling equipment.
· Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
· Perform scheduled service on all combustion powered facility equipment.
· Perform service and minor repairs on all combustion powered facility equipment in a timely and safe manner.
· Report all equipment mechanical deficiencies for maintenance and repair scheduling.
· Maintain mechanical workshops and storage facilities in a clean, organized and safe manner.
· Maintain an equipment service, maintenance and repair record.
· Responsible for tool inventory.
· Maintain suitable inventory of all needed supplies for regular servicing of all site mobile equipment.
· Be able to work in a team environment.
· General labour duties as required.
· All other duties as requested by supervisor or manager.
