Qualifications And Experience\nTo be considered for this opportunity, candidates have a minimum of one (1) year of proven supervisory experience in fleet maintenance and at least three (3) years of hands on experience in a fleet maintenance environment performing mechanic work. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

provincial Red Seal Certification in Automotive Service Technician, Truck and Transport Repair, Heavy Duty Equipment Repair or Motorcycle and Power Products Repair.

You have a valid class 5 (minimum) drivers license with a clean Driver’s Abstract. Candidates are asked to please include a current Driver's Abstract with their application.

To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrated initiative and the ability to determine the best course of action regarding vehicle repairs while following associated policies and procedures. A good understanding of preventative maintenance planning and programs is also required. You are focused on promoting best practices and adjusting goals and objectives to improve both efficiency and effectiveness of fleet service delivery.

You have strong organizational skills (including attention to detail and accuracy) and a demonstrated ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision to complete multiples tasks in a timely manner.
\n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role and will enable you to positively and effectively interact with staff, management and clients to help diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
\n
You will also have working knowledge of computer systems and applications including spreadsheets and related programs/databases. Knowledge of computer controlled diagnostic technology would be considered an asset.

We will assess the above qualifications using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.
