The Town of High Level requires multiple responsible & motivated individuals for the position of Firefighter Work Experience Program, commencing April 15, 2026.
This position is a 12 month position, (4 on, 4 off) starting April 15, 2026, and ending April 15, 2027.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Shift Officer as part of the Emergency Services Department, the Work Experience Firefighter is generally responsible for the response to High Level Fire Department emergency calls, Fire Department support, and equipment readiness.
The Employee may be required on an ongoing basis to attend applicable training, workshops, seminars, and courses at the discretion of the Employer in order to facilitate job knowledge and performance.

Paid On Call or Volunteer experience would be an asset
The rate of pay for the role is $ 20.16

$27.59 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Town offers shared housing provided at cost recovery.
