Our client is in the retail industry who is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to step into a critical maternity‑leave contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‑on CPA who thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys owning the full finance function end‑to‑end.
What makes this role exciting:
You’ll oversee full‑cycle accounting, financial reporting (ASPE), budgeting, treasury, tax compliance (Canada & US), and cash flow management across multiple entities and currencies. You’ll also take ownership of a near‑complete Sage Intacct ERP implementation, leading Go‑Live, stabilization, and post‑implementation optimization. The role is hybrid with 3 days a week in office located in Etobicoke and 2 days work remote from home.
Reporting to the COO, the Financial Controller oversees full‑cycle finance and accounting for company’s Canadian and US entities. This includes financial reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, treasury, cash flow management, and leadership of the near‑complete Sage Intacct ERP implementation through Go‑Live and stabilization.
