Sturgeon Public Schools is seeking a Finance Technician to join our Finance team at our Central Office in Morinville. This role plays an important part in maintaining the financial integrity that supports quality education across the Division.
\n
Our Finance team is a small group that works closely together. We support one another and collaborate with schools and departments across the Division. We are looking for someone who values teamwork, communicates well with others, and enjoys contributing to a positive and supportive workplace.

This 0.6 FTE position (approximately 21 hours per week) focuses primarily on accounts receivable, revenue processing, banking, and financial reconciliations, while also providing support to other finance functions as needed.

What you bring:
\nDiploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field2–3 years of experience in a financial or accounting roleStrong understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and general accounting principlesExperience preparing journal entries and completing reconciliationsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reconciliationsExperience working in a Google Workspace environmentExperience with financial management systems (experience with Atrieve, Rycor or similar systems is an asset)\n
