Required Experience

based childcare Providers. This role ensures quality regulated childcare, supports Provider development, and ensures compliance with the Early Learning and Child Care Act and Regulations. Each Consultant manages a caseload of Providers and conducts regular home visits, documentation, and professional support.\n
Frequent travel is required throughout Kings County and West Hants County (significant service needs in West Hants). Preference may be given to candidates residing in or near West Hants.

Key Responsibilities
\n
\n
Visit approved family home childcare Providers monthly
\n
Monitor compliance with regulations and Agency policies
\n
Provide guidance and support on early learning best practices
\n
Assess home childcare environments and document visits
\n
Facilitate professional development opportunities
\n
Maintain Provider records and resource materials
\n
Provide ongoing support to Providers and families
\n
Work collaboratively with the Agency team
\n
\nQualifications\n
\n
Early Childhood Education Level 2 or 3 (required)
\n
Minimum 2 years experience in early learning/childcare
\n
Knowledge of child development and licensing regulations
\n
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and active insurance
\n
Willing and able to travel regularly within Kings County and West Hants
\n
First Aid & CPR Level C
\n
Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) and Child Abuse Registry Check
\n
Robust communication and organizational skills
\n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\n
