Required Experience

Day Meetings with facility staff, performing Pre‐Job and Post‐Job Briefs for work in the facility, and performing the duties of the Integrated Work Control Authorizer for the facility.Authorizing and scheduling all work within the facility via work authorizations and liaising with customers or suppliers.Developing an expertise in facility operations, providing operations input in support of continued safe and efficient facility operations.Ordering routine operational equipment and materials used to operate the facility.Identifying day‐to‐day maintenance issues, initiating work requests, and liaising with planning and maintenance personnel to address maintenance issues.Planning and scheduling preventative and breakdown maintenance activities with minimal disruption to experimental programs and operations in the building or facility systems.Taking a lead in the development and review of Maintenance Plans.Reviewing facility design changes to enhance facility availability or reduce costs.Verifying that maintenance is completed in accordance with the facility's surveillance and test program requirements.Acting as Waste Management Officer for the facility.Supporting Unity‐2 in CNL, IAEA and CNSC audits.Commissioning Documentation & Training Development:Working with the Commissioning Department for the preparation, review, and maintenance of commissioning documentation for facility systems.Ensuring documentation aligns with regulatory standards and operational requirements.Collaborating with engineering and operations teams to validate commissioning procedures.Tracking progress and providing reports on commissioning readiness and documentation status.Working closely with the training consultant to develop Unity‐2 SAT‐based training programs.Completing as much supervisory pre‐training as possible during this period to prepare for full responsibilities.Other duties as assigned by your manager.What We Are Looking ForEducationPossesses a university degree or a college diploma; ORSecondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent, and 5‐10 years' experience in the operations or maintenance of facilities and industrial equipment (preferably 5 years within nuclear operations), with demonstrated ability to assume supervisory responsibilities.Experience3‐5 years of experience in being able to read and interpret technical drawings and review engineering designs for operational functionality as a Client Representative.Demonstrated experience in managing successfully completed projects.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMechanical aptitude.Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to delegate effectively.Ability to work efficiently and effectively with customers, technical staff, colleagues and management.Demonstrated customer‐oriented mentality – the facility is expected to be highly visible, with several organizations working simultaneously.Demonstrated ability to solve problems, and direct resources to resolve issues.Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting, maintain a clear focus on team goals, and establish good rapport with groups and individuals of many diverse professions is required.Ability to write effective reports.Ability to maintain awareness of surroundings and adopt safe lab practices.An aptitude in learning new skills, multitasking, meeting deadlines, and achieving objectives and goals.Working knowledge of contamination control and radiation protection practices.Knowledge of hoisting and rigging, flask transfers, transport of dangerous goods and hot cell operation.Security Clearance Eligibility RequiredLevel 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, A
