Ensures that supervised operations/employees understand and have ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.
Write and issue work permits and ensure that work groups conduct permitted work in a safe and timely manner.
Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in their areas of responsibility.
May be assigned additional duties not listed above based on business needs.
Qualifications
Leadership skills/ability.
Ability to work in team environment.
Excellent organizational skills.
Initiative in problem solving and identification of hazards.
Able to review all applicable standard operating procedures (SOP's), apply the SOPs, and suggest improvements when necessary.
Proficiency in Windows based applications (Word, Excel).
Plant operations experience or relevant experience in a chemical manufacturing facility.
Proficiency in multiple site specific plant operations.
All employees within the operations department are required to be clean shaven at all times and must be able to pass a mask fit test. The operations department employees are considered first responders in emergency situations, and a candidate must be comfortable performing in emergency situations.
