driven Executive & Technical Director (ED/TD) to provide strategic, technical, and operational leadership for the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED/TD will lead the growth and development of volleyball across the province while ensuring strong governance, sustainable operations, and high‑quality programming at all levels.

Key Responsibilities
\n
Strategic & Organizational Leadership
\n
Lead the implementation and achievement of VPEI’s strategic plan
\n
Provide day‑to‑day leadership and management of organizational operations
\n
Advise and support the Board of Directors on policy, planning, governance, and risk
\n
Prepare materials for Board meetings and participate as a non‑voting resource
\n
Support planning and delivery of the Annual General Meeting
\n
Technical & Program Leadership
\n
Plan, develop, and deliver provincial performance programming (indoor and beach), including:
\n
Provincial Excellence Programming (PEP)
\n
Summer provincial programs
\n
Coordination of VPEI day camps (seasonal)
\n
Sport science integration
\n
Support and strengthen the club volleyball system across PEI
\n
Oversee NCCP delivery in collaboration with Volleyball Canada, Sport PEI Coaching, and the Coaches Association of Canada
\n
Design and deliver professional development opportunities for coaches
\n
Assist the Referee Committee with training and development opportunities
\n
Foster strong relationships with coaches, officials, athletes, and clubs
\n
Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Board
\n
Ensure prudent management of financial and physical resources
\n
Seek and secure funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships
\n
Oversee hiring and supervision of staff and seasonal interns
\n
Ensure accountability, reporting, and compliance with stakeholder requirements
\n
Stakeholder Relations & Promotion
\n
Maintain strong working relationships with Sport PEI, Volleyball Canada, government partners, and other PSOs
\n
Promote volleyball and VPEI programs through digital platforms and traditional media
\n
Respond to inquiries from members, stakeholders, and the public
\n
Qualifications & Experience
\n
Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Sport Management, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
\n
Demonstrated leadership experience in sport management or administration
\n
High‑performance technical and tactical knowledge of volleyball
\n
Familiarity with the Long‑Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model
\n
Experience with financial management and budget preparation
\n
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
\n
Playing and/or coaching experience at the university/college level or higher is an asset
\n
Playing and/or coaching experience in beach volleyball considered an asset
\n
Successful completion of Criminal Records with and Vulnerable Sector Check
\n
Term\nFull‑time, two (2)‑year contract with potential for renewal
\n
Compensation package\nSalary: $60,000–$70,000 annually (commensurate with experience)\nPaid vacation & sick leave\nHealth Benefits\nRRSP match program (*after probationary period)\nLaptop & cellphone provided\nHours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.\nIn office is expected for training and transition period. Remote work is available after establishing understanding of position.\nEvening and weekend work required during peak periods; time off in lieu provided\nOn‑island and occasional off‑island travel required\nProfessional Development opportunities to be confirmed
