Required Experience

on position has overall responsibility for managing the housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure product brand quality standards are met with optimum service to our guest.
Qualifications:
Min. High School Diploma or equivalent
Min 3 years Housekeeping Management Experience in a Hotel/Resort
Fluent Oral and Written English
Must possess basic computer and math skills
Able to work with minimal direct supervision
Job Requirements:
* Manage daily operations of the housekeeping department and staff promoting a safe environment and quality service to achieve maximum guest and associate satisfaction, protection of assets and minimizing expenses
* Manage and inspect the daily cleaning of guest rooms, public areas including pool/fitness centre, back of the house, laundry operation, food & beverage outlets
* Retain and motivate housekeeping associates to attract, retain and motivate them while providing a safe work environment, interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and council including conducting performance reviews, disciplinary and termination responsibilities.
* Develop master cleaning schedules
* Maintain all documentation required by the Brand
* Actively participate in the budget process for the department
* Maintain all required par stocks and scheduled inventories and proper ordering
* Monitor out of order, out of service, discrepancy report and preparation of show rooms
* Monitor and report on expenses (payroll and supplies) to aid in controlling costs while ensuring adequate staff and supplies are on hand to provide optimum service.
* Ensure all brand and provincial standards are achieved
* Respond to guest requests, concerns, problem resolution
* Refer and follow up on all maintenance issues with the Engineering dept to protect hotel assets, ensure the safety of both our guest and associates
* Responsible for the Lost and Found in the hotel
* Provide necessary Brand and company training as well as implementing emergency training procedures
* Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
