Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our fabrication/painting facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various heavy machinery and equipment to support construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. This role offers an opportunity for individuals with a background in forklift and skid steer operation.
Duties
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
Requirements
Proven experience operating forklifts and skid steers is an asset
Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials.
Robust understanding of construction safety standards and procedures.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy loads when necessary.
Willingness to learn and understand site operations and project workflows to create efficiencies in setups and moving of projects.
