Position Summary
The Engineering Lead oversees the end‑to‑end engineering lifecycle of a distributed, cloud‑native SaaS platform, ensuring architectural integrity, scalability, and long‑term stability of the solution. Acting as a bridge between technical and business functions, the Lead serves as the primary technical authority, ensuring that product vision is realized through engineering excellence and providing mentorship and strategic direction to developers, analysts, and QA teams to ensure cohesive delivery.
Key Accountabilities
Technical Leadership: Direct cross‑functional squads building cloud‑native, microservices‑based applications, ensuring alignment between frontend and backend architectures.
Engineering Excellence: Drive high‑velocity development standards by enforcing automated testing, rigorous code reviews, and consistent CI/CD practices.
Infrastructure & Security: Oversee automated deployment pipelines and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC), ensuring system stability, security‑by‑design, and environment predictability.
Observability: Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting frameworks to ensure proactive system health management and rapid incident response.
AI Integration & Innovation: Evaluate and implement AI‑driven tools and LLM integrations to enhance application functionality, automate internal workflows, and accelerate developer productivity.
Mentorship & Growth: Enable a culture of continuous learning and technical rigor, guiding the professional development of junior and senior engineers.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary technical liaison between engineering, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Strategic Planning: Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and conduct architectural spikes to de‑risk high‑complexity features.
Experience & Technical Expertise
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field.
8+ years of professional software development experience.
4+ years of full‑stack experience building up

Frontend Experience: Extensive experience building web applications using React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS. Proficient with Storybook, Vitest, or similar technologies for component documentation and testing.
Backend Experience: Extensive experience building high‑performance microservices using Python (FastAPI). Experience with service orchestration and distributed caching/state management using Dapr, Redis, or similar technologies. Proficient in Pytest or similar frameworks for unit testing.
Cloud & Infrastructure Leadership: Hands‑on experience managing Microsoft Azure environments using Docker/Containers, Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
2+ years in a technical leadership or architectural role, with a proven track record of mentoring developers, defining system standards, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Engineering Leadership & Culture
Strategic Execution & Autonomy: Ability to plan and execute complex technical responsibilities with minimal direction while maintaining composure and delivery standards under deadline pressure.
Customer & Product Advocacy: A deep‑stated customer‑focus mindset with the ability to translate how technical innovations and architectural decisions directly enhance the product experience.
Operational Rigor: Drives a high‑standard engineering culture rooted in Agile methodologies and technical excellence through automated testing and continuous improvement.
