Required Experience

based software assurance activities across the system life cycle.
\n
Develop and maintain software assurance plans, processes, and tools. Assess supplier software engineering practices, including testing and defect management. Maintain the software inventory and associated risk assessments.
\n
Perform independent audits of supplier software practices and support source code reviews as required. Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science and P.4–10 years of experience in shipbuilding or a similarly complex industrial environment.
\n
Experience applying software engineering standards, including IEEE 12207 and IEEE 730. Familiarity with ISO/IEC standards, MIL‑STD‑882, NIST SP 800‑218 (SSDF), and SAFECode guidance is an asset.

Experience assessing supplier software safety or secure development practices is an asset. Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
