training and designersPrepare and check calculations as requiredPrepare electrical equipment specification packagesCheck vendor drawings and data for compliance with specificationsPrepares detailed design, supply, construction and installation specificationsDevelop conceptual designs, studies, reports and proposalsEnsures effective communication within project teams and with client engineersTrack project metricsReport to Area Project Engineering Manager for project issues and to the overall Electrical Lead for functional issuesVisit project sites and other Hatch design offices for project related activities as requiredQualificationsEngineer with 6 plus years of relevant experience – preferably in an EPCM environment for industrial projectsEngineering degree and registered as a Professional Engineer with the P.E.O or another Canadian Qualified Engineering AssociationGood oral and written communication skillsKnowledge of industry, regulatory codes and standardsProficient with the following electrical design tools and software: SPEL, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower and ASPENDemonstrated ability to work effectively within multi disciplinary teamsAdvanced computer skillsBase salary range:$110,000
