Report directly to the Engineering Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing and managing the design and detail engineering activities of industrial electrical equipment and products, including development of electrical drawings, sizing of electrical components, preparation of bill of materials, and technical supports for other departments.
Working knowledge with CSA and UL standard, hazardous location classification and requirement is required. PLC programming knowledge and/or experience is preferred. This position requires full

Ensure a safe workplace, including compliance with established safety laws, regulations, codes, policies, and procedures.
Education And Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SEE Electrical and/or SOLIDWORKS Electrical. Qualified Engineer (P. Eng.) designation. Minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial working experience with a focus on power systems, control systems and automation. Working knowledge with PLC programming is preferred. Familiar with the following codes and standards is preferred:
Canadian Electrical Code, CSA 22.1, CSA 22.2 No.14, 25, 30
NFPA 70, 496
UL 508, 508A, 698, 698A
Applicable IEC standards for both unclassified area and hazardous area (IEC 60079
