The Divisional Controller will be deeply involved in day‐to‐day accounting activities including AR, AP, expense reporting, project accounting, intercompany accounting, month‐end close, budgeting, and forecasting .In addition to technical leadership, this role is responsible for coaching and developing the local finance team, improving consistency, capability, and confidence across accounting processes.This position requires fully bilingual fluency in English and French and the ability to travel up to 20%, primarily within Québec.Who You Are – Core CompetenciesFully bilingual in English and French (imperative)Solid communicator who can translate financial information for operational leadersComfortable in a hands‐on, operational finance roleProven ability to coach, mentor, and develop accounting team membersHighly accountable, dependable, and detail‐orientedPractical decision‐maker with sound judgmentCurious, analytical, and solutions‐focusedAble to balance urgency with accuracy in a fast‐paced environmentStrong organizational and multi‐tasking skillsConfident presenting financial results to managementHigh ethical standards and professional integrityEmbraces change, continuous improvement, and standardizationCommitted to ongoing learning and team developmentWhat You'll Do – Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Accounting & Month‐End CloseOversee and actively participate in the month‐end close process, including schedules, reconciliations, and journal entriesPrepare and review financial statements and key performance indicators for the Québec operationsReview, investigate, and resolve accounting issues related to projects, service, parts, and operationsEnsure accurate expense reporting and cost allocation across branches, departments, and projectsAR, AP, Expense & Project AccountingProvide oversight and review of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and employee expense reportingReview and approve AP payment runs and support cash disbursement controlsOversee project accounting and project costing, including margin analysis and job‐level financial performancePartner with operations to ensure financial accuracy and discipline at the project and branch levelOwn and oversee intercompany accounting, including reconciliations, eliminations, and settlement processesAct as the key point of contact between Québec operations and TPGS Corporate FinanceEnsure timely, accurate, and consistent intercompany reporting aligned with corporate standardsHelp translate corporate requirements into practical, operationally workable processes for QuébecBudgeting, Forecasting & AnalysisSupport preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecastsPerform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to operational leadershipAssist with ad‐hoc reporting, projections, and scenario analysisIdentify cost‐saving opportunities and operational efficienciesAudit, Tax & ComplianceCoordinate and respond to auditor requests during interim and year‐end auditsSupport annual and cycle inventory countsOversee tax filings and payments in coordination with Corporate FinanceEnsure compliance with ASPE, internal policies, and regulatory requirementsCoach, mentor, and develop the Québec finance teamReview work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to best practicesHelp standardize processes, documentation, and controls across the regionRaise the overall quality, consistency, and confidence of the local accounting functionSystems & Process ImprovementLead process mapping, documentation, and internal control improvementsSupport ERP enhancements and finance‐related system initiativesDrive continuous improvement while maintaining strong operational practicalityPartner closely with Québec operational leadershipSupport the broader TPGS accounting team during month‐end and special initiativesTravel to Québec branches as required to support finance operations (up to 20%)What You Need – Qualifications & ExperienceUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum 4+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in:Multi‐branch or field service organizationsProject‐based or operational environmentsOrganizations with multiple legal entities and intercompany activityStrong working knowle
