3. Financial Management:
Manage the food and beverage department’s budget, including controlling labor costs, food and beverage costs, and overheads.
Analyze financial reports to assess F&B; performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
Identify areas for cost savings and revenue growth, implementing strategies to improve margins and financial efficiency.
Develop pricing strategies for menu items and F&B; services that reflect market trends and the hotel's positioning.
4. Team Leadership and Staff Development:
Lead, motivate, and manage all F&B; team members, including supervisors, servers, bartenders, and culinary staff.
Hire, train, and retain top talent, ensuring team members are aligned with the hotel's values and standards.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and create development plans to promote career growth within the department.
Foster a positive and cooperative work environment focused on excellence and teamwork.
5. Guest Experience:
Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by overseeing the quality of service, addressing guest feedback, and resolving any complaints.
Monitor service delivery to ensure all guests receive an outstanding and memorable dining experience.
Work with the marketing team to create promotions and events (e.g., themed nights, wine tastings) that engage guests and drive revenue.
Implement and oversee guest interaction programs that create loyalty and repeat business.
6. Event & Catering Operations:
Oversee all hotel events, including weddings, conferences, banquets, and special functions, ensuring seamless F&B; service.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to design custom menus and catering packages for group events.
Ensure that events are staffed adequately, and that every detail aligns with guest expectations and event objectives.
7. Compliance & Health & Safety:
Ensure adherence to all local health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, sanitation, and workplace safety.
Conduct regular audits of the F&B; operations to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Oversee the proper handling of food and beverage inventory to prevent wastage and ensure proper stock rotation.
8. Marketing & Branding:
Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to create and execute effective F&B; marketing strategies that drive awareness and revenue.
Represent the hotel’s F&B; offerings to external partners and industry groups, enhancing the hotel’s reputation within the local and regional market.
